Underwater Paintings

My underwater paintings have been a very intense journey. To accomplish all the details of the fish and corals I spent many hours and years diving, taking photographs, making videos and studying the reef so that the paintings I paint reflect the underwater world as it is. As I was photographing the fish and reef, I would mentally compose paintings that I wished to accomplish at a later date.

I like to include the fish and corals in a realistic way, showing them in their natural habitats and in their natural zones and depths. I want the viewer to feel they are underwater and the fish are swimming with them!
